There's this shortwave radio station, at about 4625 kHz. It was discovered broadcasting in 1982. It's known as UZB-76 (sometimes mis-attributed as UVB-76 from the distortion over the airwaves). It only broadcasts a monotonous buzz tone, about 25 times a minute, 24 hours a day. Sometimes, (very rarely) the signal is interrupted by a voice transmission in Russian.
The song here, is a soundtrack to the daily life of the operator of UZB-76. An average person, with a shit job, far separated from the powers that decide his daily routine. Just trying to make the best experience possible for his existence.
(I used some real audio of this community of radio watchers, and recreated the buzzer itself with my keyboard. The intro is real audio captured from UZB-76 in which you can hear the real buzzer itself, as well as background defense sirens indicating the buzzer is mechanical over an open microphone)
The punch, the glitch, the thick thick waves of distortion. The Algorithm's maniacal mechanical assault immerses you in the heat generated by intense compute power. Oui! Bad Guys Get Dead
Night Drive perfectly captures the dark, lonely night, the story tells. The beautiful tone of synth in 'Static' sets up a beautiful immersive reflection that carries through to the end. Bad Guys Get Dead
Impossibly large sound palette and intense and driving rhythms bring a cinematic action to this stellar album. From Horror-thriller chase music to top down sunset driving. This one has it all. Bad Guys Get Dead
Here kitty, kitty! The synthwave genius returns with a whole new batch of hooky, metal-edged songs that are more fun than a ball of yarn. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 11, 2022
